Step1.
- Place filter basket in filter basket well.
- Insert thumb handle in the left opening.
- Ensure filter basket is fully seated.
Step2. Place a cupcake-style paper filter in the filter basket. A permanent filter may also be used.
Step3. For each cup of coffee being made, place one level tablespoon of coffee into the filter.
Step4. Fill the carafe with the desired amount of cold tap water.
Step5. Lift the lid and pour water from the carafe into the water reservoir.
NOTE: Do not fill past the 12-cup mark (54 ounces) for a glass carafe or the 10-cup mark (45 ounces) for a thermal carafe.
Step6. Place carafe, with carafe lid attached, on a keep-hot plate.

3. Pour one pint of plain white vinegar into the water reservoir.
4. Plug unit into an electrical outlet.
5. Press the ON/off button to turn it on.
6. After 30 seconds, turn OFF.
7. Wait 30 minutes to allow the vinegar to clean. Then turn ON again.
8. When the brew cycle is finished, turn OFF let cool.
9. Empty carafe and rinse.
10. Pour one carafe of cold tap water into the water reservoir.

Step2. Clean carafe and filter basket
1. Wash the carafe in hot, soapy water or on the top rack of the dishwasher.
2. To remove the carafe lid:
- push hinge part of lid to one side and then gently but firmly twist lid.

To replace lid:
- put one side of lid hinge on one of pins
- snap onto other pin.
3. To remove filter basket:
- open lid and lift straight up.

Step1. Brew a Single-Serve Pack
1. Plug-in unit and slide out the brew basket.
2. Place a pack into the single-serve pack holder.
3. Press down on the edge of the pack until the pack snaps into place and a hole is punched in the bottom.
- Do not remove foil.
4. Slide brew basket back into the unit.
5. Press down on the brew basket handle to lock and puncture the foil lid on the pack.
6. Fill the reservoir with the cup into which the coffee will be brewed.
7. Close the water reservoir lid.
8. Press the BREW button.
The power indicator light will light up to show the coffee maker is on.

It can take up to 2 minutes before brewed coffee starts dispensing into your cup. The total brew time average is 4 minutes. For best results, allow the coffee maker to cool for at least 2 minutes between brewing cycles
1. Plug-in unit and slide out the brew basket.
2. To remove single-serve pack holder:
- press down on the single-serve pack holder tab, then lift out.
3. Place a removable holder in the brew basket and add ground coffee. (3 tablespoons [44 ml] is the MAX amount of any type of grounds.
4. Slide brew basket back into the unit and push down on brew basket handle to lock.
5. Fill the reservoir with the cup into which the coffee will be brewed.
6. Close the water reservoir lid.
7. Press the BREW button.
